It's really hard to believe where some get the nerve to say some of the things about President Obama's Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor. This wonderful lady is obviously one of the most intelligent and inspiring persons in the history of the American justice system. I try not to be negative and waste my time on deadbeats but I have to say that for some of these politicians in Washington now and in recent years it would be an insult to the word pathetic to use it to describe them.

Just saw an interesting documentary on PBS about Saudi Arabia. I couldn't help but wonder about what will happen to this nation when oil becomes $10 a barrel which I believe will happen within the next ten years.

2009 White House Correspondents Dinner

"Without Washington, Jefferson and Franklin perhaps America would have never been born, without Lincoln perhaps America would have disintegrated, without Roosevelt perhaps America would have been conquered, without Obama perhaps the greatness of America would have been lost forever." -- by Steve Everett on April 20th, 2008.

Never been a huge fan of this royal family thing the British do but I have to give a thumbs up to Prince Charles on this endeavor.

Video clip from one of my favorite comedians, Bill Maher. And to my Republicans friends... it's just comedy. And by the way I don't consider myself a Democrat. When I cast my vote I'm voting for ideas, not for a particular party. The guy or lady with the ideas I believe in... that's who gets my vote whether they're Dem, Repub, Indy, etc.

It's time to end lifetime appointments to the Supreme Court. Twenty years should be plenty long enough. And while I'm on the Supreme Court it's also time to bring the court out of the dark and make all court cases available live online to the people who pay their salaries, the American taxpayers.
